Early discharge of the semen before reaching the peak of orgasm is known as premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation is a common but distinct medical condition that can severely impact quality of life, affecting the physical and emotional well being of patient and his partner.


It is a very common sexual disorder affecting 1 out of 3 men. The patient may feel embarrsed to tell to his doctor about it or seek treatment. It requires early treatment to enjoy the happy sexual life.

Earlier it was thought to be purely psychological disorder but now the experts have found the biological factors that play important role in premature ejaculation.

Many men occasionally ejaculate sooner during sexual intercourse then his partner would like. If you ejaculate sooner then you or your partner wish, such as before intercourse begins or shortly afterwards, you may have a condition known as premature ejaculation.

Premature ejaculation is a common sexual disorder. Estimates vary, but most researches shows that it affects as many as one out of three men. Even though it is a common problem that can be treated, many men feel embarrassed to talk to their doctors about it or seek treatment. But condition for proper treatment is that some experts are needed to treat the one or else it just becomes a giant.

Once thought to be purely psychological, experts now know that biological factors also play an important role in premature ejaculation. In some men, premature ejaculation is related to erectile dysfunction.

You don’t have to live with premature ejaculation – medicinal treatment can improve sex for you and your partner. There are no medical standard for how long it should take a man to ejaculate. The primary sign of premature ejaculation is the ejaculation that occurs before both partner wish in the majority of sexual encounters, causing concern or distress. The problem may occur in all sexual situations, including during masturbation or it may only occur during sexual encounters with other person.

From a biological point of view, the whole purpose of sex is procreation. In most animals intercourse is brief, and ejaculation occurs shortly after penetration. In human, though sex involves a broad array of psychological and inter personal factors. As a result, premature ejaculation is defined not by the clock but by the desire and satisfaction of both partners.

A premature ejaculation is an ejaculation that occurs before it is desired. Sometimes it occurs with minimal sexual stimulation early in foreplay. More often, it develops shortly after penetration before mutual gratification is achieved. Either way, it causes shame and embarrassment for the man, frustration and discomfort for both partners.

Many man experience premature ejaculation from time to time, but for some it is a recurrent (frequent) problem. In large surveys, premature ejaculation is a most frequent form of male sexual dysfunction, affecting up to 30% of men. It is most common in young males but can strike at any time of life. Most men with premature ejaculation are perfectly healthy; others may have medical condition like diabetes or urological problems such as prostatitis. With or without an associated problem, premature ejaculation can be treated.
